Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of MentionRadar, a brand monitoring and AI visibility service available at mentionradar.com. By creating an account or buying a plan you accept them on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent. Effective October 10, 2026.

The parties

The service is provided by the administrator of the mentionradar.com service ("we", "us"). The customer is the organisation that creates an account or buys a plan ("you"). Contact for everything related to these terms is [email protected].

MentionRadar is a service for businesses. If you use it, you confirm that you act for a business, organisation or your own professional activity and not as a consumer.

The service

MentionRadar collects public mentions of the keywords you track from news sites, blogs, forums, Reddit, Hacker News, review sites, YouTube and X, scores their sentiment and estimated reach, runs the prompts you track in the AI engines included in your plan (three engines on Starter, five on higher plans), and provides scores, alerts, reports, exports and, on some plans, API access. The features and limits of each plan are listed on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms.

The one-time brand scan on the homepage is a demonstration, not a plan. It does not include ongoing monitoring or alerts.

Accounts

You must give accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and make sure everyone you invite follows these terms. You are responsible for activity in your account. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

Plans, billing and renewal

  • All plans are subscriptions billed in US dollars, monthly or yearly. Yearly plans are paid upfront for the year.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel renewal from the billing page.
  • Moving to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly billing, takes effect after the difference for the rest of the current period is charged, which happens immediately. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next renewal.
  • Each team holds one subscription. Additional client workspaces are part of the Agency and Enterprise plans.
  • Payments are made by card through our payment operator with strong customer authentication. Enterprise plans billed yearly can also be paid by invoice.
  • Prices exclude taxes. Applicable VAT or sales tax is shown at checkout and on the invoice.
  • When you cancel, renewal stops and you keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
  • We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice by email. The change applies from your next renewal.

Usage limits

Plan limits count usage in the billing period: mentions collected, AI prompt runs executed and reports generated. Deleting a keyword, prompt or workspace does not return used quota; counters reset at the start of the next period. When a limit is reached, collection or runs of that kind pause until the next period or until you move to a higher plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service to stalk, harass or build profiles of private individuals, or to track people rather than brands, products, organisations and topics,
  • use collected content in breach of the rights of its authors or the terms of the source, for example by republishing full articles,
  • try to access other customers' data, probe or overload the service, or bypass limits, security or access controls,
  • resell access to the service except as white-label reporting to your own clients on the Agency and Enterprise plans,
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend an account that breaches this section after notice, or immediately where needed to protect the service or other people.

Your data and public content

You keep all rights in the configuration, notes and reports you create. We use them only to provide and improve the service and do not use them to train AI models. Collected mentions are links to and short excerpts of public third-party content, provided so that you can find and read the original. The rights in that content remain with its authors and publishers.

Where your workspace contains personal data, we process it as your processor under our data processing agreement, available on request at [email protected]. Our own processing is described in the privacy policy.

AI answers and scores

AI answers are produced by third-party engines and can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Sentiment labels, reach estimates and scores are produced by the methods described on the methodology page. They help you prioritise and spot trends and are not professional, legal or financial advice. Decisions you make based on them are yours.

Availability

We work to keep the service available at all times and announce planned maintenance in advance where possible. Sources and AI engines are run by third parties and can change or limit access; when a source is unavailable we skip it and retry, and we may replace a source with an equivalent one. Enterprise plans include a 99.9 percent monthly uptime commitment for the dashboard, with service credits as stated in the Enterprise service level terms sent on request.

API

API access on the Agency and Enterprise plans is subject to reasonable rate limits shown with your API tokens in the dashboard. Keep tokens secret and rotate them if they leak.

Intellectual property

The software, design, scores, reports format and the MentionRadar name are ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. Feedback you send may be used to improve the service without obligation.

Confidentiality

Each party keeps the other party's non-public information confidential and uses it only to perform these terms, except where disclosure is required by law.

Warranties and liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Apart from that and from what these terms state, the service is provided as is, to the extent permitted by law. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data. Our total liability under these terms in any 12 month period is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intentional misconduct.

Termination

You can cancel renewal at any time from the billing page and delete your account from settings. We can terminate these terms for material breach that is not cured within 14 days of notice. After termination the account is read-only for 30 days, during which you can export your data, and is then deleted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account owners at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel renewal before the change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes are decided by the courts competent for the seat of the operator, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
